I have been interested in photography since I was about 10 years old. My first camera was a Polaroid Swinger Instamatic.


I took several years of photography instruction in high school and was constantly entering contests. I learned B&W developing techniques, lighting, portraiture and composition which remains my favorite.


My wife, Joanne, and I live full time in the Galena Territory. We previously lived in the Chicago suburbs.
My subject passion lies with the Galena Territory scenery, wildlife of any type, sunsets and sunrises, and of course my family, children and grandchildren. I strongly believe in photos that tell stories.
